whitman hanson girls' soccer

The Whitman Hanson girls soccer team improved to 15-0 with a 5-2 victory over Weymouth. Whitman Hanson took the early lead when Lauren Bonavita took a feed from Lindsay Anderson and fired it past the Weymouth keeper. Bonavita picked up her second goal when she took an Eve Montgomery pass (2 assists) and fired it into the top corner of the net. The score remained 2-0 until the half. Bonavita picked up the hat trick when she found herself on the end of another Montgomery pass.  Weymouth responded with 2 goals and then Taylor Kofton closed out the game with two goals both coming from passes from Taylor Robertson. Sammi Smith, Elana Wood, Maddie Shea and Jill Shangold all played strong defensive games for Whitman Hanson and  Lindsay Anderson turned in an outstanding performance in the midfield. Goalkeeper Mikayla Clemens made 6 saves for her second win of the season.
